Goodbye

"This has been a really fun but also quite exhausting process. Overall, it’s been a great experience that’s helped me develop a lot of new skills and grow both creatively and personally."

sound editing

"Since the sound quality wasn’t great in my first draft, I decided to use lapel mics for the next shoot so the actors’ dialogue would be clearer and easier to hear.

Laptop Struggling

Here is my laptop crashing because it is struggling to run the editing software

Inspo for Postcard

These are the Inspirations for the postcards

1. Napoleon Dynamite

Why it fits:

  • Hand-drawn scribbles and notebook-style visuals

  • Awkward, deadpan humor

  • Minimalistic, offbeat character portraits

2. Eighth Grade (dir. Bo Burnham)

Why it fits:

  • Lo-fi, raw emotional honesty with social awkwardness

  • Clean design with handwritten fonts and subtle gradients

  • Intimate close-ups and simple laurel integration

refillming

I am re-filming this where we were filmed

Social Media Insirations

 1. @A24

  • Why: Even though A24 is a major indie film studio, their posts are creative, often minimal, and have a cool, offbeat aesthetic. You can take inspo from how they promote character moments or awkward stills.

2. @letterboxd

  • Why: Super creative and meme-y. Great for tone, color grading references, and they highlight quirky or awkward films with cult followings (think Napoleon Dynamite style like yours).

3. @frankfilmclub

  • Why: Female-led film community. Great mix of professional yet casual film commentary, behind-the-scenes vibes, and strong visual identity.

inspiration postercard

1. The Office Poster Parodies

  • Minimalist office backgrounds, serious faces, subtle humour.

  • Inspiration: Make the poster look serious but include funny easter eggs (e.g., a fire extinguisher labelled “For Jerry Only”).

2. Scott Pilgrim vs. The World Posters

  • Energetic, comic-book style layouts with bold colours and big text.

  • Inspiration: Use cartoon lightning bolts, whoosh lines, or even include stat cards (“Jerry: +10 awkward energy”).

3. Napoleon Dynamite Poster

  • Clean layout, intentionally low-budget vibe, awkward character pose.

  • Inspiration: Have Jerry standing proudly in the middle of a chaotic background with hand-drawn doodles or resume notes scribbled over the image.

4. Deadpool Marketing Posters
  • Self-aware, satirical, breaking the 4th wall.

  • Inspiration: Let the poster have a voice: “Warning: Contains doughnuts, chaos, and deeply unqualified applicants.”
